We’re less than a month away from Homecoming at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh—the weeklong celebration of the past, present and future of the University for alumni, students, employees and the greater Oshkosh community. The week of activities celebrating Titan pride begins Monday, Oct. 23 and culminates Saturday, Oct. 28.

Here’s a rundown of what to expect.

A week of fun for students

There’s a full week of fun planned by the Reeve Union team, including flag football, live comedy, Zach’s Bingo Hall, a Halloween carnival and a performance by the Astronomers. See the complete schedule.

Honoring outstanding alumni

The annual Alumni Awards Celebration is Friday, Oct. 27. The event includes a 5 p.m. reception and 6 p.m. dinner and program, culminating with the celebration of 11 accomplished alumni selected by the Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Seven winners of Distinguished Alumni Awards, three winners of Outstanding Young Alumni Awards and one Alumni Outstanding Service Award winner will be recognized. The full list of winners is available here.

To attend the Alumni Awards Celebration, registration is required.

A day for families

Family Day is Saturday and an opportunity for 永利皇宫安卓下载app students and their families to reconnect and explore campus and the Oshkosh community. Last year it drew about 1,000 students and their guests to its festivities and organizers expect between 1,500 and 2,000 to attend this year. You can still register for Family Day here. Check in is at 9:45 a.m. outside Reeve Memorial Union and everyone receives a free 永利皇宫安卓下载app gift.

Also: University archivist Josh Ranger will put on a presentation on Homecoming through the years with coffee and donuts at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Reeve Union theater.

Tailgate before the game

The black and gold faithful are invited to head to campus early on game day for the annual Titan Tailgate. The gathering, which includes free food and beverages (while supplies last), a photo booth and other activities, runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Reeve Memorial union.

Also: The Multicultural Student Coalition and Multicultural Retention Programs will co-host a Homecoming breakfast at the Multicultural Education Center from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday for students and alumni.

Titans take the field

The climax of Homecoming, as always, is the Saturday afternoon football game. Before kickoff is the 12:15 p.m. Titan March, with 永利皇宫安卓下载app supporters invited to cheer on the Titan Thunder Marching Band and the football team as they make their way from the Titan Athletics Band Center to Titan Stadium.

The football team then host conference rival UW-Stevens Point at 1:35 p.m. Festivities include a halftime performance by the marching band and the presentation of Homecoming royalty. With it being Family Day, admission is free for anyone under age 18, as well as 永利皇宫安卓下载app students with their Titan Card. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors.

Also: Titans football isn’t the only team with a must-see game during Homecoming week. The powerhouse women’s volleyball team—who as of this writing are 20-0 to start the season—hosts UW-Platteville on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. at Kolf Sports Center.
